Shape Shifter Mod 1.5.1 Minecraft 1.5.1

Shape Shifter Mod 1.5.2 - This mod allows you to change your model by pressing the ‘U’ key in-game and selecting a mob. You will also gain some benefits/disadvantages of the chosen mob (but mostly advantages).

Installation instructions:

Client

  1. Get 7-Zip file archiver for opening jar files.
  2. Get fresh minecraft.jar by forcing update.
  3. Delete META-INF folder from minecraft.jar
  4. Extract ShapeShifter.zip file into the minecraft.jar
  5. Play!

Server

  1. Get 7-Zip file archiver for opening jar files.
  2. Get fresh minecraft_server.jar
  3. Extract ShapeShifterServer.zip file into the minecraft_server.jar
  4. Launch server as usual!   Enjoy, Play Minecraft

    loved the idea but it will not work! I tried everything this website says to do and it will not bring up the shapeshifter list. Any ideas on how to make sure it works. Step by step instructions would be very helpful

    It doesn’t work, when I press U nothing happens. Can I install it using Mcpatcher? Is that the problem?

      I think that they make a mistake:

      it is a difference between shape shifter AND shape shifter Z

      with z you have in your hand an item and when right clicking you will change in whatever
      creatures.

    to open it up u click “y” on the keyboard if you want to type a specific mod you press “u” on the keyboard…. got it?

    Still no list, pressed U, Y and G and does’nt come up it worked for me last time.

      AngryCrepper, did you get it working? I am having same issue, after installation following all steps for 1.4.7 shapeshift mod, cannot get menu to display. Pressing U, Y and G not working. No menu appears. Just hoping you may have figured out a workaround or fix. Thanks.

    Will I stil be able to play multiplayer? My friend has a mod like shapeshifter that disables multiplayer…So will I still be able to play on servers if I download??

    Are you certain this works with 1.4.5? My version reverts to 1.3.2 when I place the files into the minecraft.jar (this was after attempting to install it by placing the .zip in the mods folder).

    i have just downloaded the mod and installed as by proper instructions and run minecraft and it is now stuck on a loading screen with the bar about half 60 millimeters off from finishing and i dont know what to do it has the text that reads “Updating Minecraft” and “Done Loading” please help me

      all u got to do is go into the options before loging in and press force update

    like many others here, tried both methods (installer and direct jar update), see http://www.yhamp.com/ssco.php , and u/g do not work. No idea why, should work. Also did force update no diff, Using 1.4.7 … ideas??

    on 1.4.7 after installing mod, pressing U, G, or Y does not present the menu for shapeshifting. I did force update and META-INF delete, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Finally got it working. After you install, we went to creative mode, then either pickup the shapeshifting bone, or rod. This will give you the ability to shapeshift.

    U have to craft special bones in dis order

    b = bone
    g= glowstone DUST
    r= rotten flesh
    i = iron ingots

    bib
    grg
    bib

    and u get a purple bone unless u have diff texture pack

    to use special abilites
    get purple bone and blaze rod and put purple bone above blaze rod
    by the way if the purple bone dosent work reverse the iron ingots with glowstone in crafting
    or u installed mod wrong

    i cant get it to work
    i unzipped the file
    i have deleted the meta file and put the shape shifting file in
    i have force updated
    tried crafting the bone and it did not work

    this site gives shape-shifter -Z!
    I had the mod
    and it gives you some items
    and when you right click one of them ( I don’t remember) you will change your shape

    and the normal shape shifter u will change from whatever button( i don’t know which)

    Dad, Did you figure out. I am having same behavior. Followed mod installation exact steps. after installing i still cannot get the menu of shapeshift characters to display. Pressed, U, G, Y, etc..Did you end up getting it working. I am on Vista SP1, and we have current .NET framework 4.0
